Thrifting at Housing Works

I have been thrifting around town these days. Found this top at Housing Works for $8. Discovered it online at BCBG originally for $162.

Purchased this pair of Acorn boots by Aquatalia by Marvin K. for $28. Retail: $325 but recently marked down to $168

The other day at lunchtime, I mulled over HW's scarf collection. There I met a woman who claimed that she used to frequent Hermes showrooms. Then she showed me how to determine if a scarf is made of real silk. The fringe, she said, must be rolled and then hand sewn. The loose stitching tells all. She then wrapped a politically incorrect scarf with Japanese Kabuki masks into something abstract and spectacular.
