the sopranos are addictive

as a reward for cleaning the apartment yesterday, galvino and i watched 9 straight episodes of the final season of the sopranos. it was pure pleasure.

the characters, plot line, and dialog instantly pulled me into their fictionalized world of mundane family conflicts and mob hits. tony and his family are 3 dimensional; an instant family to join for dinner over ziti. their moral ambiguity speaks to real life dilemmas on a epic scale.

the characters and their presence lingered in my imagination as i came home from work to an empty house. these larger than life characters filled up the space with community, and then left after six seasons.
