Cultural Elites
Dom Frasca created The Monkey for the purpose of having a multi-media space in which artists are no longer confined to one medium. I was surprised and disappointed to learn, though, that he is no longer playing the guitar. Perhaps he grew bored with the creative expression.
Roy Weimann's work showed a highly stylized form but may lack purpose and meaning.
The crowd, meanwhile, appeared self-conscious and clique-ish.

This ethnographic account details the experiences of migrant and transgendered streetwalkers, and window prostitutes in The Netherlands. Through the in-depth interviews and observations, the author explores the meaning sex-workers give to their work and personal lives.
