the generosity of pharmacists
I entered a pharmacy this evening to pick up a prescription. Before me was a customer who couldn't pay his $1 Medicare charge to pick up his prescription. I offered to pay, but instead, the pharmacist pulled out a magical card and ate it for him. It didn't stop her from reminding him that next time he will have to pay the $1 charge to get his medication.
Did I put some social heat on her to release the meds? Who knows. Why charge $1?
Why not put the $1 towards making medication labels more legible for users.
