VOTE!

I voted this morning at 6:30AM. It was a 45 minute wait to vote at my polling site, a makeshift location right in my apartment lobby. "Gavino" stood beside me in the line. As I got closer to the voting booth, I became weepy and disoriented from an anxious evening of anticipating this day. From behind the curtain, I panicked after unsuccessfully trying to move the voting buttons. I had neglected to move (or notice) the red lever.

While Starbucks' marketing strategy to offer a free cup of coffee to voters was well meaning, my free cup of Starbucks coffee this morning was dreadful.
